SupermartXé wows gym-tastic punters

Some said it wouldn’t work. Some said no one would go. Some said that it would be a second rate production. Some said it would be a disaster.

They were wrong.

Last Saturday (29th November) Logan and the SupermartXé team put the SupermartXé brand firmly on the London map. Elephant and Castle’s Coronet Theatre rocked to the sounds of DJs Steve Pitron Chris Costa and D’Johnny. Rebeka Brown opened the show with a zooped-up legs-electric performance, followed by the arrival of gaggles of gyrating go-go machines on a three story podium extravaganza.

Although there were numerous problems with queues for the cloakroom, leaving some punters faces like they’d been (understandably) sucking lemons, the venue and it’s atmosphere soon made up for it. A grinding dancefloor was packed with some of the hottest party punters in town, many of whom were going all out muscletastic T.O.T.O. Surprisingly the usual small bunch of face-spacers left their attitudes at the door, meaning more fun for the rest of the supergayers. There seemed to be little in the way of G-dramas too, which was a refreshing change.

Perhaps it was the huge open dancefloor, or perhaps it was the spectacle of the whole thing – but whatever it was it certainly put SupermartXé on the disco map. SupermartXé’s London launch reminded us what we’ve been missing for so long – a disco, an event, some glamour and a dancefloor where you won’t bang your head on the ceiling.

The next SupermartXé takes place on January 3rd, 2009.

Quit complaining Miguel - obviously no London party could rival Ibiza or Madrid Pride but at least they made a f***ing good effort.

Of course it's not biased to SupermartXe or any London club for that matter. We've been on the scene too long to be arsed trying to get into any promoter's pants!

This website is clearly biased in regards to SuperMartXe!!

I'm orginaly from Madrid and work every summer on Ibiza.
In my opinium the venue for SuperMartXe was okay but production wise it did not live up to any of the original Spanish partys.
Just look at You Tube for SuperMartXe videos and you see the difference.
I found the stage looking rather cheap and tacky
the dancers are all being used at Fire and other gay clubs before.
I don't even think any of them could dance properly.

It will be interresting if they will be able to pull it off every month as in a venue like that the slightest decrease in punters and that venue will have no atmosphere at all.
